Good book, nice illustrations, couldn't find it cheaper elsewhere but was left a little underwhelmed with the detail provided.

Excellent book! There is no other book on the market like this one. This book will teach you the principles of how the cue ball reacts in different situation so you can make more informed choices as you practice. Whether you're a snooker or a pool fan, or both, you will benefit from this book enourmously if you take the time to digest the various principles and try them for yourself in practice. Covers topics left untouched in many other books such as the concept of object ball throw and the cue ball path when playing with screw / draw and follow. The only section that is a bit scant on detail is the section on aiming. Dr Dave mentions the ghost ball method, but that's all, neither is there any information on sighting or detailed analysis of technique. The section on positional play is also very brief and although it is very difficult to provide a comprehensive guide here, since every game is unique, I would still have liked to see a more logical approach to positional play. Despite the shortcomings this is truly a bible for learning how the cue ball and object ball reacts for different shots, at different angles, speeds and types of spin. Highly recommended and a bargain!

Simple language that anybody will be able to understand, main concepts are highlighted in separate boxes. My only issue with the book is that the text usually references pictures which are only on the next page which for me is not ideal, I would prefer to see the images first and then the text explanation of it. Other than this, it's a great book.
